We are students of C2 level in Maria Markaki school. At first, we published book reviews on this blog, which is why it used to be called 'Literature Blog', but all our latest posts have to do with the ECPE/ CPE exams. Thank you for dropping by!
After reading this letter I understood that mothers feel truly pressured, since they have to raise their children properly and simultaneously do the housework without a break of course. So I appreciate my mother's work.
Well,to tell the truth at the start I didn't know if it was sad or just humorous, but when I understood what this mother was trying to say I found it really funny since most of my jokes are ironic too. However I couldn't relate my mother to Debbie since I was a lonely child when I was a toddler but judging from my experience most of the parents especially in countries like Portugal and Greece with the economic crisis going on,face a lot of pressure and problems raising their children.Lastly,I find all parents in the world that try to raise their offspring so they will be able to fit in society and see them be great in their lives.
Personally speaking, mothers have the most difficult thing to do in the world, which is bringing up a child. The challenges that a mother has to tackle starts from the first part of pregancy. In this text we can see complains that every single mother might have, from the change of their body to the tiredness after a full day with their offspring. So every mum has needs.
In my opinion this text is very accurate because nowadays parents or generally adults are stressed out this time of the year. They want to make the people they love happy and show them that they care about them. That is exactly what this mother is trying to accomplish even if she faces some obstacles.
This letter contained some phrases I could imagine my mother or other women who have children saying. In my opinion, parents nowadays experience many difficulties and undergo much pressure, especially when they have a lot of offspring. Most modern mothers are employed but usually also have the responsibility to look after their children,in case these children are of a young age (just like in the text) they need their parents more.
