Useful grammatical structures for essays
- Causative: have (in all tenses) + object + past participle
- Subjunctive: (advise,recommend,suggest,etc) + (that) + subject + (should) + bare infinitive
- Wish/If only: wish + past simple ~~ wish + past perfect ~~ wish + subject + would + bare inf.
- Passive voice: be(in the correct form) + past participle
- Modals: must/mustn't/ can/can't/should/etc. ~~~ Most of the modals + bare inf. = present
Modals + have + past participle = past
No example sentences AGAIN, so I will have to make do with the rules only. :-)
