What is Volunteerism?
It is the principle of donating time and energy for the benefit of other people in the community as a social responsibility rather than for any financial reward.
Nowadays many people live under unacceptable conditions and volunteering can significantly help them.Except helping those in need,by volunteering you help yourself as well.It can make you feel better about yourself but not only that.Through it you can learn new skills and gain experience on multiple interesting things related to the kind of service you provide. Moreover, volunteerism can help your social life. You can become part of a community, meet new people and make new friends.Even without financial reward for your services and assistance, as I see it, it's still worth it.

Immigrants-Refugees
These are two terms confused by many, however there are some pretty significant differences between them.
An immigrant is someone who chooses to resettle to another country willingly.Immigrants usually move to another country in order to obtain a better income or to find a job after not being able to, in their home country. Immigration is something very common nowadays, especially in Greece because of the elevated levels of unemployment.
A refugee however, is someone who has been forced to flee their home country usually because of war. They, do not move to another country willingly.
Immigrants are expected to come and they usually have the legal documents to live in another country. However, after an unexpected war, refugees are forced to leave and end up in a country which doesn't expect them and consequently problems emerge.
One essential problem is their integration into society. In Greece, for example, such a problem exists.
After the war in Syria, a considerable number of refugees arrived in Greece. The wealthy ones moved on to another destination while the needy ones got stuck here. They are impoverished and are surely in need of help, however an important decision should be made. How should we deal with them?It is hard for such an amount of refugees to be integrated into society, and the economic state of Greece is not ready to accept and help so many newcomers. There are various opinions about how this issue should be dealt with but my personal viewpoint is that the most fair solution would be for the refugees to be split up equally in every european country. When there are fewer refugees for every country to take care of their integration, both refugees and natives are benefited. These people are starving to death and strive to survive every day,it is only logical for them to turn to crime in order to live. This has refugees in a very bad, inhumane condition while natives are also in danger. These problems can be both solved with their allocation in multiple different countries. Finally, the refugees left in Greece can cultivate the land since agriculture is abandoned by many natives. The chunks of fertile land which are relinquished can be given to the refugees and in this way they can make a fair living while also financialy helping the country.
