1. Undoubtedly, our lives have changed dramatically over the last weeks. Coronavirus, an emerging and deadly virus, has put a significant part of earth' s population in quarantine. As a consequence, people have started behaving awkwardly, and sometimes exaggerating. Through this admittedly difficult period for every individual, I have watched on the Internet two quite opposite images. The first one concerns some people panic-shopping and stocking huge amounts of food and supplies. That picture made me think that panic is not a good adviser. On the other hand, I was amazed by thousands of people the world over, and especially in the worst-hit countries, who have taken to their streets, yards and balconies to pay tribute to health care workers. This "movement" shows that people overall are in solidarity with these workers in their struggle. It is certainly a matter of life and death and we must succeed in fighting this virus. At any rate, human kind has proven times and times again that, when united, can overcome the most difficult challenges.
ReplyDelete2.The infection of the COVID-19 disease is rapid and seems to be unstoppable. There are certain simple steps, however, which if taken could diminish the risk of infection.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, according to World's Health Organization, people should keep each other a safe distance of at least 2 metres. Furthermore, washing hands thoroughly, has become one of the most effective weapons against coronavirus. Last, but the most important, we must avoid visiting parents, grandparents and loved ones in general, in order to protect them from getting affected.
It must be driven home that, despite what measures the state has taken to control the disease, primarily it is every individual's responsibility to battle with the disease and behave responsibly.
