Vocabulary calendar 2!!!

1. Tom was put out by the traffic noise. / I hate to put you out by staying at your house.
2. In all likelihood we will go on holiday.
3. He cried over spilt milk!He can't understand that his girlfriend doesn't  want to be with him any more!

5. This cafe has just been renewed;formerly, it was a youth club.

9. He picked at small bites as he wasn't hungry.
10. He urged him to make a final effort and not to give up.
11. Yesterday there was inclement weather, so we couldn't go for a walk.
12. His company is on the verge of bankruptcy.
13. He has 2 kids, one boy and one girl. They are 8 and 10 years old, respectively.
14. John turned a blind eye towards Helen and she was very sad.
15. They did away with the law of working 4 hours more.
16. Sandra was apprehensive, as her son didn't come home that night.
17.  Because of the oncoming train, finally three people died.

30. At the break of day, I decided to go running at the beach.
31. Mark tried to insulate me from the heavy storm by giving me his jacket.

  2. Corrections have been made, dear Helen! I can see your range of vocabulary is rapidly expanding, but be careful with the use and spelling of each word. We will explain everything this week. Have a nice weekend!
